Connecticut Passes Salary History Ban

Connecticut passed a new law on May 22, 2018, which prohibits employers from asking job applicants about their salary history during the job interview process.  The new law is effective January 1, 2019.  Several other states have passed similar laws, including California, Delaware, Massachusetts, Oregon and Vermont.  Other jurisdictions that have passed such laws include New York City, San Francisco, Puerto Rico and others.
