Paid Family and Medical Leave Laws are Trending in States Across the Country

California, New York, New Jersey, and Rhode Island, along with the District of Columbia and the City of San Francisco have enacted paid family and medical leave laws.

There has been proposed paid family and medical leave legislation introduced in many states across the country, including: Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, Vermont, Virginia and Washington.

Employers will have to keep an eye on paid family and medical leave laws in various states and localities because it is a trend that appears will continue.
