Immigration Reform and Control Act. The critical record which must be maintained
by an employer under the IRCA is the I-9 Form which verifies employment eligibility.
The I-9 must be maintained for at least three years after the employee is hired
or, if the employee terminates, for one year, whichever time period is greater.
