The
Jackson Lewis LLP Affirmative Action Practice Group Presents a Webinar
on Adverse Impact and OFCCP's New Enforcement Strategy
Friday, August 21, 2009
2:00 pm – 3:30 pm EST
Presenters:
Mickey Silberman, Esq.
Matthew J. Camardella, Esq.
During
the past year, OFCCP has substantially refined and expanded its
approach to investigating adverse impact during compliance audits.
Increasingly, the Agency is focusing on traditional "reverse"
discrimination (against Whites and males) and individual subminority
adverse impact trends. This change is resulting in more investigations
and discrimination findings. Also, the Industry Liaison Group held its
annual, national conference earlier this month and valuable information
regarding the OFCCP and EEOC enforcement trends was shared. During this
webinar, Jackson Lewis Affirmative Action Practice Partners will
present on the following topics:
1. OFCCP's new focus on adverse impact against non-minorities, men, and individual minority groups.
2. Detailed discussion of the practical steps employers may take in response to the Agency's new focus.
3. The OFCCP and EEOC have announced their new leadership – Who are they?
4. Explanations of the topics discussed by the OFCCP's Regional Directors at the ILG National Conference.
