EEOC Presents Statistics for Workplace Discrimination

Tuesday, May 15, 2012

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) made employment discrimination statistics for states available in a user-friendly format.  The statistics are based on private sector workplace discrimination charges for each of the 50 states and U.S. Territories for the years 2009-2011.  The data provide a look at charge receipts with respect to the basis of discrimination and the percent of total state and national charges.  The Commission will update the information as it becomes available for each subsequent year.

The data tables are available at:  http:/www1.eeoc.gov/eeoc/statistics/enforcement/charges_by_state.cfm.
