The EEOC has posted information about the Enforcement Guidance on the Consideration of Arrest and Conviction Records in Employment Decisions Under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964:  http://www.eeoc.gov/eeoc/newsroom/wysk/arrest_conviction_records.cfm and http://www.eeoc.gov/laws/guidance/qa_arrest_conviction.cfm.  This guidance updates and supersedes earlier policy statements on this issue.
